Scrabble
Sunday, April 23rd, 2006Last night, Richa, Matt and I decided to play Scrabble. It was an impulse decision. Too bad, we didn’t have the game, so we ended up calling the nearest Walgreens to see if they have one in stock. They did! The cashier asked us, “Are you the one who called earlier?” He thought it was funny.. ^_^
By the way, this was my second time playing the game. The first time was few weeks ago when my sister was in town. We had a dinner reservation at Baraca but we were too early. So we killed some time at a local café by playing some Scrabble. Richa was shocked that I’ve never played the game before. Naturally, I sucked. Last night was no exception. No beginner’s luck.
Where are the vowels when you need them? (Matt apparently was hording all of them) What’s the use of a Q without an U? That was a big minus point for me at the end of the game. The best word that i made was CAKE. And maybe FRIT (Does anyone know what this means?) Most of my words did not exceed more than four letters. *shakes head* And to rub it in, Dévics’ Lie to Me started playing during one of my long turns. The song starts out with “You’re wastin’ all your time..” Thanks.
Richa assures me that I will get better as I play more. I don’t know about this..
