John, Paul, George & Ben

Saturday, May 20th, 2006

I’ve been kinda neglecting my old passion for children’s books until I saw Drawn’s post on Lane Smith. I’ve read one of his books The True Story of The 3 Little Pigs (it was great), and now he has a new book out called John, Paul, Goerge & Ben.

It looks so fun! I must check it out at a book store soon..
I really like his website, too. It has lots of stories and pictures. Scroll down far down and you’ll see some pictures of the Peanuts gang in Minnesota. Argh!! I want to go to Minnesota! And take a picture with Linus and Lucy on the sidewalk. ^_^;;

Beard Papa’s

Tuesday, May 16th, 2006

Beard Papa’s is a bakery chain all the way from Japan, and they now have a new location right in San Francisco. Yay, cream puffs! Check out the reviews. Funny..

I would definitely like to try this place soon because I don’t really remember how good it was when I visited Tokyo few years back. I was shopping at one of the big departments there, and the Beard Papa’s smelled so good, I had to try one of their cream puffs. Actually, I don’t remember the name of the place.. All I know is that the place was yellow. Matt tells me the place was indeed Beard Papa’s, so I’m assuming it is. ^^ How was it? I don’t remember. I didn’t find any place to sit down and eat, and the puff was so huge that I felt very awkward eating it while walking around. I was told it is considered rude to be eating while walking in Japan.. So I didn’t really get to appreciate it.. T_T

So who’s in with me?

Flowers around the house

Saturday, May 6th, 2006

I used to think real flowers are such a waste of money.. I mean, they will eventually die and you have to throw them away, right? But ever since I moved out here, I think differently about them. They’re so pretty and perfect for decorating the house. And they make me feel better. Maybe I’ve become more selfish..The flowers will die just to make me feel better! mwahaha.. -_-;; Don’t blame me. I’m still recovering from a very tenacious cold.

Here are some photos of the flowers I have around the house.

(Can you see my Utada Hikaru poster in the background?)

Those frames have pictures of my family, including our boston terrier. ^^

The yellow flowers are lasting quite well. I may get more of those later.
By the way, yesterday at work, a girl told me that I don’t sound like I’m from Chicago. What does that mean? Do people in Chicago have an accent?? *shrug*
